The State University of New York at New Paltz athletics department will be hosting its third-annual New Paltz Athletics Golf Tournament on Friday, August 13, at the Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland.
Registration is set for 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start to follow at 10 a.m.
The tournament serves as the cornerstone fundraising event for the department and will help strengthen the student-athlete experience at New Paltz.
Participation in the event can come through registering as a golfer or signing on as a sponsor.
Those partaking in the tournament will receive: cart rental, open driving range during registration, a continental breakfast, lunch, dinner, course beverages and a tournament gift in addition to the coverage of greens fees.
Awards will be given in the following categories: the foursome with the lowest score, men’s and women’s longest drive, men’s and women’s closest to the pin and a putting contest. There will be a silent auction, and prizes will be raffled off during the awards reception dinner held after the completion of the tournament.
