2015 Chi Alpha Sigma ProgramNEW PALTZ, N.Y. – On Wednesday, April 8, the State University of New York at New Paltz Department of Athletics, Wellness & Recreation honored 38 student-athletes for their commitment to academics, as New Paltz held its annual Chi Alpha Sigma induction luncheon at the College Terrace as a part of the third-annual NCAA Division III Week.

A total of 23 student-athletes (six seniors and 17 juniors) were inducted into the organization, while 15 additional seniors were recognized as second-year honorees.
Chi Alpha Sigma is a non-profit organization established to recognize college student-athletes who earn a varsity letter in at least one sport while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA throughout their junior and senior years. The Honor Society was founded at DePauw University on May 17, 1996, by DePauw head football coach and professor of kinesiology Nick Mourouzis.
