2012-13 Statistics
SKILLMAN, N.J. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team reentered the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's Northeast rankings on May 2, the final rankings for the regular season, as announced by the ITA on Thursday. The Hawks return to the rankings tied at No. 20 with Ithaca College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
The Hawks finished their season with a 13-4 record and placed second in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) after falling to SUNY Geneseo in the 2012 SUNYAC Women's Tennis Championship Tournament final on October 7, 2012. New Paltz faced off with Ithaca and No. 12 The College of New Jersey in their final dual matches of the season, defeating Ithaca 6-3 before falling to TCNJ, 5-4, in one of the closest matches of the season.

Montana Wilson (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay) took home the Peter J. Cahill Award in the fall, which is awarded to the SUNYAC's most valuable player. Senior
Kayla DiPaulo (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) was named to the All-SUNYAC First Team for No. 2 singles, while Wilson at flight one and junior
Paige Munroe (Ann Arbor, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer), senior
Alli Esposito (Bellmore, N.Y./John F. Kennedy), sophomore
Jessica Schmidt (Commack, N.Y./Commack) and freshman
Laura Tierney (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) at flights three through six, each earned Second-Team All-SUNYAC honors for singles. In addition, Munroe and sophomore
Devin Tracy (Great River, N.Y./East Islip) picked up Second-Team All-SUNYAC accolades for No. 2 doubles, while Esposito and Schmidt added Second-Team kudos for third doubles.
The final regional rankings will be released on June 6, after the conclusion of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship Tournament.
