Alex Gallo (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) scored both goals for the Hawks, who took eight shots on frame to the Lynx's six.
Gallo netted her first marker of the game in the first half, cashing in off a pass from sophomore forward
Alicia Aragosa (Schenectady, N.Y./Niskayuna). She struck again after the intermission, collecting her own rebound and putting away the game-winner.
Kat Simpson scored the Lynx's lone goal of the contest.

Antonija Pjetri (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern) earned the win in the cage, making five stops. Rhodes held the upper hand in penalty corners by a 7-0 edge.
New Paltz is slated to return to action on Saturday, Oct. 22, against Ramapo College in a non-conference tilt at 1 p.m. in Mahwah, N.J.
